An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled election professional to join Rotherham Council’s high performing electoral services team.
Electoral Services is a high profile service, and you will be key to the organisation of large-scale elections and referendums, particularly with regards to the postal voting process, as well as the delivery of the annual canvass and monthly rolling registration.
We are looking for someone with suitable experience, ideally having worked extensively in providing electoral services, who wants to develop their career and take on the responsibilities of a senior role in the electoral services team.
Preferably a member of the Association of Electoral Administrators (AEA) with the AEA Certificate in Electoral Administration, you will have an in depth knowledge of electoral legislation and the statutory framework for delivering elections and registration.
- You will have strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to work to tight timescales and fixed deadlines while supporting the team to deliver the overall service.
- You will have a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to fast changing circumstances and a commitment to high standards of customer service.
- You will have excellent IT skills, and will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to communicate with a variety of people at all levels in and outside the Council.
