Job Details and Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised and experienced individual for the key post of Elections and Registration Manager. The role will be to deliver quality administration of all aspects of electoral registration and organisation of all elections and referenda held in the Borough. You will lead a small team and also recruit and oversee the work of electoral canvassers and temporary election staff.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills especially to manage competing workloads at peak times. There will be a requirement to work additional hours including evenings and weekends to meet demanding deadlines during annual canvass and election periods.

A good working knowledge of Elections software (preferably Xpress) is essential as is membership of the Association of Electoral Administrators. It would be an advantage if you also hold the AEA Certificate in Electoral Administration.
