We are looking to recruit an experienced Electoral Services Officer who enjoys working in a busy and challenging environment and will be a vital member of the Electoral Services Team.

 

The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and publication of the Register of Electors and in the organisation of all Elections and Referendums.

You must be well organised, have excellent communication skills and be prepared to work in a busy environment especially during the election period. At key times, such as elections, the postholder will be required to work outside of normal working hours.

An appreciation of the political environment that you will be working in is essential and you must hold or be willing to work towards AEA Certificate in Electoral Administration or have relevant experience.

This post is politically restricted.

 To be successful you will need:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Election Law and Electoral Registration
  • Experience of working on the planning and preparation of local and national elections and referendums
  • Experience of Individual Electoral Registration
