We are seeking an experienced Electoral Services professional to lead our supportive team.

In this key post, you will be responsible for all aspects of the electoral process. You will have day-to-day management responsibilities for developing the service, undertaking all electoral registration functions including the annual electoral registration canvass, staff management, and the organisation and management of elections and referendums. You will have knowledge of statutory requirements relating to electoral registration and elections and be capable of managing change and implementation of new working methods.

With excellent organisational and communication skills, the ideal candidate will work well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines. You will be customer focused and communicate effectively with residents, candidates and election agents. Project management and leadership skills are essential for this post.

Previous experience in electoral administration combined with a demonstrable working knowledge of election processes, procedures and legislation is required. An Association of Electoral Administrators qualification is desirable.

The post is offered on a full time, permanent basis (36 hours per week).
