We are looking for someone to manage our Democratic & Electoral Services Team. Fully up to speed with the workings of local government, you’ll bring experience in democratic and electoral services to ensure we continue to change and improve. Known for devising innovative ways to enhance processes and services, you will have a proven track record of successfully managing change and improvement. You’ll add to this excellent management skills and sound attention to detail. Above all, you’ll need to be assertive and articulate with a flair for working in a political environment.

This is a high profile service, and you will be key to the organisation of large-scale elections and referenda, as well as the ongoing delivery of Individual Electoral Registration and ensuring effective decision making and governance is in place.

You will hold an ADSO or equivalent qualification at certificate level or above in democratic services practice or an AEA Qualification at certificate level or above in electoral administration, or have significant experience and commitment to obtaining these qualifications.
