Pictured above left is The Madejski Stadium in Reading, the location of the first AEA One-Day National Conference which was held in the Princess Suite of the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre at the Stadium on the 8th September 2005. On the right is the stage area in preparedness for the start of the Conference.

The Conference attracted more than 200 delegates and more than a dozen speakers including The Rt Hon Harriet Harman QC MP, the then Constitutional Affairs Minister, Baroness Helena Kennedy QC and Sam Younger, Chairman of the Electoral Commission.

The Conference was adjudged a great success by delegates and the commercial exhibitors who attended.
